Remembering Joey Ramone

Jeffrey Ross Hyman, known professionally as Joey Ramone passed away on April 15th 2001.

It has been 22 years since Joey left us. Joey died of lymphoma at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on April 15, 2001, a month before he would have turned 50, seven years after he had been diagnosed with the disease.
On November 30, 2003, Joey was honored posthumously when the corner of Bowery and 2nd Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side was renamed Joey Ramone Place. The corner is near the location of CBGB where the Ramones started out, and the loft apartment where Joey lived.
Our question is, are there any singers in the punk rock spectrum who like Joy have changed the world with his talent? Let us know what you think in the comments.
